If you lived in Extreme cold or Extreme hot which would you prefer and why.?

I would prefer Extreme cold. I have always like cold rainy weather. Gloomy days and rain are preferable to me than scorching heat. I have always liked cold days were i could just stay in bed under the covers all warm and cozy. Drinking hot cocoa.
I think that in the cold you can actually do something about it and be able to go places unlike in the hot. In the hot you have to choose to be in a place with a fan/ air conditioning or choose to be dying of how hot it is. Well thats my personal opinion.

If my life story would be a book it would be titled, Karla: The life and story of Karla S. Palacios Martinez. That would be the title to the story book of my life. The chapter titles would be:

Those are the only titles i could think of right now, due to the fact that those are the only titles i have experienced. There are many more chapter i am yet to accomplish. This is just the beginning of what is yet to come.

You'll never do_____ again. And here's why...?

I'll never take advantage of my parents permissions again. About 2 weeks ago i asked my parents if i could go to my friends house. At first they hesitated, but then they said okay go ahead. But my mom clearly gave me a time limit of one hour ONLY. So after school had ended, i went ahead and went to my friends house. After a while it was an hour and i said to my self, a little while more wont hurt. And then after it turned into two hours. And thats when i thought that, it had been long enough. So i went home. By the time i got home i realized the i had exceeded my time limit to more than 2 hours. I got home and my mom was sitting on the couch waiting for me (my dad wasnt home yet). My mom reminded me about how she had only given me an hour to go, and instead i got home an hour and a half after. She grounded me for two weeks. And after that i learned that i am never doing that ever again.

The holidays are fast approaching, what are you looking forward too.?

I am so excited that the holidays are soon approaching. I am looking forward to having another great christmas with all my family. Wishing that all the family is in good health. Looking forward to, having a good time opening and apreciating the little presents that will be possible this year. Due to the families financial dificulties, i will be gratefull for the gift i will get. The one thing i am most looking forward to is just having a good time, with all the laughs and happy time i have being around the people i love. Those are some of the many things i am looking forward too this holiday

If you can change one thing in the world what would it be?

If i could change anything in the world it would be, how people decide to resolve their problems or differences through war. I would like to change the fact that many people think of war as a resolution. This shouldn't be so. They should find anohter way to sovle their problems. Many people die when they are drafted into war. Many innocent people die near war battles.

War should be the last thing to turn to, when it comes to resolving problems. They should have other alternatives. Like, how about a debate, or a petition to see which resolution is more reasonable. That is one of the many things i would change in the world.

My favorite activity between the ages 5 and 10, were to take care of my little brother and little sister. That's when they were really little, adorable, and not so annoying. They were so little it made wonder if they were dolls?? Haha it was a good time having them little and under control. Now they are the evil pain to my existence. They frustrate me to the point that i want to yank my hair out of my head. That was my favorite activity 4 years ago. Know it is the least favorite activity.

I remember when....

I remember when i saw the twilight saga: new moon. It was the day after thanksgiving. I had previously asked my parents if i could go see it with my friends, but they had said no, cuz i didnt have a ride to get there. So instead i had to wait until i had a ride. So i went the day after thanksgiving, with my cousin. We were both really anxious to finally see the movie. So we went aand saw the movie together. It was an awsome movies. And thats what i remember.

You had four days off, tell me about them.

On Thursday November 25 it was my birthday, so for thanksgiving day my family got together to celebrate two things, Thanksgiving and my Birthday. The whole family got together at my uncles house. Everyone brought something to eat. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, ham, potato salad, and other foods i cant remember about. For a little while everybody was doing their own thing, having fun and enjoying their time, and them it was time to sit down and eat. When we first sit down we start of by giving thanks for everything we have and everything we have done this year. Also we gave thanks for the health and well being of our family. People eventually started crying because of the sweet and thought full things others said. Then after that it was time to eat, everyone got a plate and began to serve themselves and eat. That was my thanksgiving day.

For the next day everyone was still at my uncles house, due tothe fact that they slept over. And we woke up, and ate again. Then we all sat down and watched a movie with all the family, well most of the family. And in between everything, people still found the room to eat more.

The last time i did something nice for someone was when it took my cousin to the movie theater. I took her to see a movie me and her had been waiting for, for months. I took her and payed for her ticket and snacks. She really enjoyed the Twilight Saga: New moon. We had such a good time that day. And at the end of the day she said thank you. She really appreciated that i took her with me. :)

If you had unlimited funds what would you buy?

First of all i would like to know were i would get this kind of fund??? but still how would i spend it??? I think i would start by buying a house. A house with about 4 rooms and a pretty backyard. A big room for myself, a room for mom and dad, a room for little brother and sister, and a play room, plus the rest of the house. Second i would help pay bills. I would buy lots of clothes, shoes, accessories. There are many things i could think of. But these would be some of the first. =]

How did you meet your closest friend? How long have you been friends?

I have two very close friends. I don't know what i would do without them. They are always there for me. Through good times and bad times. I meet these two awesome friends through school. It all started in middle school. The first day of school i realized that after going to all my classes they were in each one of them, except for homeroom. I eventually started talking to them and became very good friends.

After hanging out with the same group of five friends, i realized that them two were the ones i could trust. I told them about this and to my great luck they felt the same way towards me. They have been my best friends since. And hopefully for many more years.

What would have happened if you didnt leave the house this morning? Describe your day.

If i wouldn't have left the house today i would have been positive that i would have gone to the movie theater to the premier of the Twilight Saga: New Moon. I could imagine it. I woulk have stayed home. Then woken up gotten ready. All excited while i did everything. My parents would have taken me to the theater at around 12 mid day. We would have gotten tickets and seen the movie i have been waiting months to see. And that is pretty much what would have most likey happened if i hadnt left the house this morning.

10 reasons why i would like to be 21:

1. I will already have my own job, and would have to stop asking my parents for money every week.

3. Id be able to go to Vegas with friends and actually be able to have fun, not just stay inside the Circus Circus and play in the "kids" section.

4. Ill be responsible (hopefully) to save up money for things i want.

What do you sense you're supposed to do before your life is over??

There are many things i want to do before my life is over. But one thing i sense I am supposed to do is, to one day make parents proud of me. I want to make them proud by first of all Graduating High School with good grades. I want them to see me accomplishing High School. And walking in front of the entire class of 2013 getting my High School diploma. And i want to see my self become someone. I am supposed to live a happy life and have a family. Those are some of many things im supposed to do before my life is over.

What do you do on days that you get out early?

On days that i come out early i go home. From there i wait until 2:14, and at that time i walk to my little brothers school, pick him up, and bring him home.
After that i wait until my mom gets home so that i could leave to my uncles house and do homework on the computer.
Sometimes i hang out with friends, relax, and just have fun for a while. At around 6pm i go home and i get to my house around 6:15. After that i do any homework that i havent yet done. When i finish i take a shower, come out and just watch tv and eventually fall asleep.

What are your goals for this semester?

My goals for this semester are to get good grades. For this semester i want to get a good grade in part B of Algebra II, in order to complete it and not have to repeat it again. For computer class i want to maintain my grade at an A so that i could pass the class and be eligible to get a different elective and not re take the class. And the same goes for the rest of my classes. Also this semster i want to see if could get the chancec of joining something. Like club or a group that specializes in some sort of thing that i could have fun in. Hopefully i fullfil my goals for this semester.

Do you think everyone should get married? Whats a good age to settle down?

I personally think that people should make their own decision if either they want to get married or not. I dont think i would be able to say if people should or shouldn't get married. People should have the chance to chose who they want to spend the rest of their lives with. I dont think its fair how in some places in the world young people dont have the chance of marrying who they choose. They just decide for them. But i think that everyone deserves to have someone to love and be with.
I think a good age to settle down and get married would be between twent-five and thirty-five years old. That way you ahve time to live your young life. Your going to want to party and have fun while your young. I dont think its a good idea like when young people get married atround the age of 16. What if who they mary at that age doesnt end up being who they actually love. This is my personal opinion on this subject.

What grade do you think you deserve in this class and why?

I think i deserve to have an A. I have done all the work that has been graded so far. I have done all the lessons on Microsoft Word. I think that so far i have been doing well. I wouldnt be able to think of a reason why i wouldnt have anything lower than a B. I am actually really excited to see my grade because i dont think it will be bad at all.

I have been concentrating on my work and i have also been helping others to accomplish their work too. I think that i have learned many new things while doing my lessons on Microsoft Word.

I hope that i have good grade so that i can pass the class and move on to a more advanced placement computers. =)

Describe your dream Job.

My dream job has always been to be a teacher. As you may know its not such a simple to job to be a teacher. Theres many things behind being a teacher. You have to have a a good education and most importantly be patient with kids. I dnt think it would be possible to be a teacher if you get frustrated really easy or your not patient. You could end up like those teachers that come out on the news, that like tape kids mouths shut or throw an eraser at them. Bad bad teachers.

Also being a teacher takes alot of studying. To become a teacher you need a bachelor's degree, which equals i think 4 years.

There are many things behind being a teacher hopefully this dream job becomes true someday.

If you could only eat one thing the rest of your life what would it be and why?

If i could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be salad, chicken wings and water. First of all salad isboth good for you and delicious. I love salad with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, dressing, and occasionally chicken slices.
I love chicken wings. Chicken wings are like heaven for me, they are so goood. I wouldnt survive without chicken wings. I know i would have to eat them moderately but i wouldnt stay without them if they were the only thing i would eat for the rest of my life.
And of course water because or else i would pretty much die.

I dont have any tattoos. But i would like to get one. I have always wanted to get a tattoo on my ankle. Weather its a Star or Rose or even a butterfly. Something preety. I would also like to have a tattoo witha meaning. A meaning to the tattoo not just ahving it for the purpose of having it. For it to symbolise something to me . But overall i would love to have a star tattoo. Star tattos have many different meanings, depending on what kind of star you get and were you get it. These are the reasons why i would get a tattoo.

Well that depends, for example having one or a couple of tattoos is okay. Whats abnormal is when people decide to cover their bodies full of tattoos. I think that its okay to express your self showing a couple tattoos that you like or a tattoo that stands for something important.

I think that it goes overboard when people cover their bodies with tattoos. It doesnt look decent. It takes it over the top having too much tattoos.

I think that in a way im not really different from other people. I mean, sure people might have differnt ways to express themselves, but overall were humans who make mistakes and learn lessons in life, just like everyone else. People might dress differently, speak differently, or look differently but overall i think that everyone has something alike inside.

For example some people might be alike in some ways and others alike in other things. I think that every body is both different and alike in their own ways.

What was the highlight of your weekend? What was the low point?

The highlight of my weekend was Halloween night. Saturday October 31st was super fun. I'm not old enough for my parents to let me go party, so i had to settle for Trick or Treating. I didn't think it would be so fun but i was wrong after all. I got a bucket load of candies, which by the way were about half way in two simple days =). I slept over at my cuzins house and watched scary movies 'till like 1 in the morning. We watched blood and gore movies like Saw II and Wrong Turn 2. By the way those movies are to give you the chills.

The low point was that i didn't know that while i was having fun my best friends mom was in the hospital. I came to find out that my friends mom had suffred somthing drastic and was in the hospital. I comforted her and told her that everything would be okay.

I cant think of the best costume i have ever worn but i would have to say when i dressed up as Princess Leia from Star Wars. I dressed up as that when i was in kinder. I had dark red lipstick and the two rolls of hair on my head, it was prett. I dont think i would ever wear that costume ever again.
The best costume i have ever seen would have to be when i saw a guy dressed up as a girl. I was hilarious. The guy was wearing a wig, wearing make up, and to top it all of he had shaved his legs. It was the best costume i had ever seen. The worst costume i have ever seen is when i saw a person wearing a shirt that said costume. I dont think you can even consider thata costume.

I think that it is disgusting when guys wear their pants so saggy that you could see their butts. Its okay if they sag their pants just dont go expossed. Its not okay to wear your pants sagging if your going to a formal event or something important. It is indecent to show your butt to the people around you. It disturbing. Describe how your day would be without any electronic devices, No cellphones, ipods or computers. What about microwave ovens or even electricity.

First of all without electricity i wouldn't even be able to be writing this very blog, so there goes one of many things that would go on with my day. I would get sooo bored without any of these devices. My day would be like a living hell.
For example, without any cellphone i wouldnt be able to communicate. It would seem like im some sort of social reject. No ipods around would be like no music, of course theres radios, but still. Without computers i wouldnt be able to do hw or even use it for hearing music or watching videos.
Without microwave ovens it wouldnt be so simple to just eat a fast meal like a burrito or something. And the last but most trivial one of all, what would i do without electricity. I would have to find a way to have fun and live my life to the fullest.

"My Top 10 Favorite Books"

1. Twilight- I love this book. It the beginning of a wonderful story about the love between an immortal Vampire and a Human. I like the plot, the climax, and the struggles they go through in book.
2. New Moon- The second part to the Twilight book is also great. This continues one of the principle struggles they face through out the entire saga.
3. Eclipse- The third part to the Twilight books. I really like this part to the Twilight Saga. In this book they battle against evil Vampires, which causes the problem of this book even more intersting.
4. Breaking Dawn-The fourth and final part to the Twilight Saga books. In this bookl is were the happily ever after happens. This is the ending to all conflicts. And this is the ending to my favorite top four books.
5. Crank-This is a very interesting book. This book talks about struggles that many unfortunate teens go through. This book has a very controversial plot. But overall it is a great book.
6. Glass-This book is the second part to Crank. It is the continuation to the struggles and conflicts of a teenager, who never learns that you need to be responsible for your actions.
7. Impulse- This is a book that was also written by Ellen Hopkins the same author of Crank and Impulse. Impulse has total different stories. In Impulse there is the stories of three not so differnet stories linked together by one thing.....the desire do die. But two of them learn to love each other and live normal lives.....but one unfortunately doesn't overcome his problems and dies. These are really good books. And they have very different stories that make the book even more interesting.
8. November Blues- This book was also really good. It is about a teenager whos boyfriend dies two months before she discovers thst she is pregnant with his baby. This troubled teens faces the hardships of the death of a loved one, the struggle of being a teenage mom, and when she gives birth to a premature child. This is a very interesting story about differnt struggles.
9. Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul I- These series of bookes are written by teens, for teens. They are about many different teenage struggles and ways to help you deal with them
10. Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II- This is another chicken soup book. This one also talks about teenage struggles and how to deal with them, they also have phone numbers and websites that could help you if you have any problems similar to the ones featured in the book. That is why I like these books too.

What is the one thing in your life that you can't live without?

The one thing I cant live without is technology. I would die without technology. My cellphone for example. I woudn't be able to communicate with people. Without computers I wouldnt be able to do most of my homework assignments.....and I wouldn't be able to look for work and assignments when I'm absent. Also I can listen to music on the internet and do research for school and other stuff. These are some of many forms of technology I woulnd't be able to live without.

The article was about a study conducted to see the effects of technology on the brain. The article was mainly about a study made at UCLA, to "measure brain activity of older adults as they searched the Web." It said that they would put a person into an MRI and see what goes on in the brain while they used the internet. Also it commented about, how using the internet could help exercise the brain in a very helpfull way for older people.
Also research has been made and shows that as the brain gets older it function( how it works) and its structure also changes. Which basically means that as you get older your brain also changes. Using the internet and searching online makes you think.

The article was about a person's house who is really messy. It is full of trash, bottles, and wrappers. It starts out as a little pile then accumulates and becomes huge, to the point were you cant even walk around anymore. It was a cold and rainy day and I had to walk home from school. I was soaked wet the time I made it home. I got home and there was nobody home, but oh well peace and quiet. When all of a sudden thunder cracks through the sky, and to my luck the lights go out. I was all alone and without any electricity, that wasn't such a fun picture. But the good thing is that I hear my dads car pull up into the drive way and there finally home. Thank god there home I don't know how I would have made it all alone in such a situation.

They decide to surf the web....literally. It was so cool....they new all the stuff they saw on the computer screen but they never imagined how the virtual world looked like. They saw how e-mails traveled from one server to another. They saw how how people download videos, photos, and etc. with just the click of a button.
All of a sudden they feel a gentle tap on their shoulder, they turn around to see there parents standing right behind them. It turns out that it had just all been a dream. They had fallen asleep while surfing the web.....but what a coincidence that they haapened to have the same dream. Maybe it was a dream......maybe it wasn't, but who knows. What Dan and Kim know is that it was really cool.

I like the rain. One reason why I like the rain is because I think its fun to be in the rain. I enjoy to be in the rain, I really cant really say why I like the rain because I cant explain it. Its one of those things that you know but cant rally explain. The one tinynreason why I might not like the rain is because I ahte it when you accidentaly walk in a puddle and your shoes get soaked wet.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why? For how long?
Who would you take with you?

If I could visit anywhere in the world I would go to Germany. I would go there because by what I have seen on tv and on the internet it looks really cool. I would got there first and then I would visit anyother places that I would also like to visit. I would go there and be there for about a week or two. I would stay that long so that I could visit all the grat sights there are to see and enjoy my stay there instead of just staying for a couple of days and not get to see many things.

I would have to say that the most significant accomplishment to date would have to be that I culminated form Middle School. I was able to culminate from middle school and participate in the culminating ceremony. I had the grades required to participate in the ceremony, because there were many students who didn't have good enough grades to participate. That is the most significant accomplishment to date.

My talents are.......

A talent that I have is creativity. I have a very creative mind, which is why I like making arts and crafts whenever I have the time to. Since I was little I liked making stuff. Making school projects when I was little was very fun for me becuase I always had very good ideas for what to write on them, how to decorate them, and what I would decorate it with. Also in 3rd and 4th grade I won a class price for having the best project. that is one of my many talents.

You roll through your favorite fast-food drive-thru, order you’re usual and wait for the cashier to repeat it back to you. Only, he doesn't repeat it. Instead, through the speaker, you hear a very unsettling conversation. Describe this scene and what happens next.

I think its weird that they didn’t repeat my order but oh well, instead I start hearing a conversation between two employees of the fast food restaurant. I hear something very nasty. Apparently there was a rat in the restaurant and they weren’t telling the customers about it. Their plan was to keep it a secret and maybe nobody would find out, what they didn’t know was that they hadn’t turned the speaker off yet, and me and the customer waiting behind me had hear the whole conversation. The thing is that they realized that the speaker was on, too late. And me and the rest off their drive thru customers had already left.

The article was about how people can post pictures or videos online, and how once they have been posted, anyone can see or have access to those photos/videos at any time. It was also about how you need to be careful what you do online. Be aware of the consequences that you could have in case you decide to do anything inappropriate online. Also if anybody that you don’t know tries to get personal information from you, for example phone number, address, etc; never give it away to any strangers. And the main last part of the article said that if anything is happening to you or a friend, to report it immediately because it is something very serious. I think that everything in this article is both true and helpful for anybody who is going through a situation like this. I personally don’t know anyone who has been through something like this. Articles like these help inform people of the harms and dangers that come with using the internet. And to be aware that things like these could happen to anyone including you. So you always have to be careful to what you do, post, or say online.

Do you care who got the Olympics in 2016. Why or why not?

I personally don’t care who won. In my opinion I don’t really care about who gets the Olympics for the 2016. I’m not really interested in the Olympics and what goes on in them. I do know that Rio de Janeiro won the honor to have Olympics held there. I also know that Chicago got the least votes to be the one to have the Olympic Games, and due to that many people are disappointed. But overall I’m not interested in what goes on about the Olympic Games.

In my opinion I think that this lady shouldn’t have sent the emails like that in the first place. I think that it is common sense for a person to feel threatened with an email in bold letters, caps, and red font color. This lady should have known better than to send an email like that in the first place. But overall I think that this wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair because they could have warned her in the first place of what she was doing wrong. By telling her what she was doing wrong it could have prevented her from getting fired in the first place. Even though it was wrong for her to send the emails like that, I personally don’t think it was fair.

How will you use email in your life. What are the benefits? What are the drawbacks?

One of the simplest ways I will use email is to communicate. For example a way of communication could be for a job, a group discussion, or just to talk to someone else. The benefits of having email is that no matter were in the world your at you could always use email as a form of communication. One drawback on emails is that you have to be careful what you write. You don’t know who could be out there just waiting to see whose emails they can hack into and get information from. That is why you should never send personal information through emails. Personal information includes your name or another persons name, address, phone numbers, and etc. There are many benefits and drawbacks to emails so be careful what you do and don’t send. Weather it’s to someone you know or someone your getting to know be careful with what you might send through emails.

The article was about a dumb burglar who left evidence at his victim’s house through the website facebook. I think that this was really dumb. If I would have been the one doing that I don’t think I would have even had the nerve to look at facebook on my way out from a robbery. I think he does deserve all the jail time he is getting

If you could wake up today with a special ability, what would you want it to be? Why? How would you use it? Would you tell anyone?

If I could wake up today with a special ability, I would chose to have the ability to read minds. I would want this ability because I have always wanted to see what goes on in people’s minds. Even though that might sound a little weird, that has always been a curiosity I have had. The way I would use it would be simple, just to see what goes on in people’s minds. That is all I would do. I don’t think I would be like the super heroes in movies that use their special abilities for the good of society, no. And if I were to tell anyone I would tell only my very close friends. The ones that I would be able to trust not to go tell everyone they know.

What would be a perfect bell schedule for school? What times and days would school be held? Why?

I think the schedule we currently have is good. One thing I would change would be the time we enter school to like 7:30, just to be able to get like at least ten more minutes of sleep. I think that being at school five days a week is just perfect. The more time you spend in school activities the less time you are at risk of getting into gangs or doing things you are not supposed to be doing. Also getting used to a schedule at school will also help you for your future; for instance a job, so you will get used to waking up early and ready for work. But overall I think that the schedule we have rite know is actually good.

What has been the most difficult thing in school so far?

The most difficult thing in school so far has been getting used to the schedule of 4 classes of an hour and a half each. I was used to the 6 class schedule of 50minute classes. Another thing that ahs been hard so far has been my first Algebra 2 quiz. I didn’t do so well on this quiz which shows that I really need to get studying before I start getting bad grade.

Do you think the education your receiving is worth anything? Would you pay for these classes? How much?

I think that the education I am currently receiving is worth something. It is worth much do to the fact that without an education you can’t get a job that is among your interests or that pays much. I think that I would pay for these classes; the problem would be if I would to be able to afford them. I would be willing to pay forty dollars for each class. Many people think that school is not that important but truly it is and many people don’t appreciate the fact that they could get a free education.

If you could change one thing in school what would it be?

What I would change would be to get to school early and on time. I have been getting to school after the bell rings and it doesn’t give me much time to get to class. And that has been happening for the past three days of school. I need not to let that turn into a habit. If I let that turn into a habit then I am going to start getting detention and in that case I would be spending more time in detention than in class.

In your opinion does technology help or complicate my life?

One way it helps me is in school. With technology like computers, school is way easier. It’s easier in the way that it helps you with many things like research or typing papers. Another example to how it helps is with communication. Without things like cell phones or computers there wouldn’t be instant communication. We would have to write letters in order to communicate. It also complicates the life of people who don’t have these types of technology. Now a day’s many things, if not all, are being done through a computer. School work, job assignments, and many other things. Another way it complicates life is because know many people are stuck to their cell phones, ipods, and computers and they don’t do many outside activities. Those are the ways that technology both helps and complicates my life.

Coming to this class today, I said to my self...

I said to myself, I am so tired. Tired and sore because of p.e. Then I asked myself, what are we going to do today in class. We have been watching videos, so maybe we will do something different today. Maybe we will use the computers today. Hopefully we do because I want to use a computer and do something different today. My house computer doesn't work so maybe we will use school computers. Finally Friday.! Just have to get through today and then go home and have a relaxing weekend at home.

What I know about computers and what are my experinces.

I know the basic things like microsoft word and microsoft presentaion 2003. I know how touse a computer and most of its functions. I had a computer class for 6th and 7th grade. they taught me about Microsoft, my documents, my computer, and about how to use the inter-net. I have worked many times with microsoft presentations and movie maker. I have also used google documents to make presentations and documents, i ahve also used google sites to obviously make a site.
